Online Bible study – The concept of the Body of Christ part 2
Last Wednesday, in part 1, we considered the undisclosed ‘elephant in the room’ that sits behind much of Paul’s letters to the Church at Corinth and informs his developing theology. Today we will take a close look at Paul’s metaphor for the Christian Community as the ‘Body of Christ’. Remembering of course that Christ isn’t Jesus’s surname but means quite literally ‘anointed one’, or ‘one who is anointed’.
