The next 163 CONVERSATIONS is on Tuesday 8 October 6.15 to 8.30pm. The speaker will be Carlene Harlock, Coordinator of Friends of Suia/Covalima, Timor Leste, for the City of Port Phillip.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of East Timor’s Vote for Independence (from Indonesia) – which was followed by almost total destruction of the country as the Indonesian military withdrew.
Next year it will be 20years since the CoPP became involved in assisting and supporting the Suai/Covalima region as it gradually rebuilt.
It’s a great story of partnership and relationships!
